Fisher Communications stated on December 9, 2010, that it had entered into a shared services agreement with News-Press & Gazette Company-owned ABC station KIFI-TV, under which KIDK would be managed from the KIFI facility and 27 KIDK employees would be let off. The change put KIDK under the co-management of the station that had previously taken the ABC and NBC affiliations that KIDK had previously carried in the same secondary capacity prior to becoming an exclusive CBS affiliate. On January 1, 2011, the purchase was finalized.
